Clare was a passionate supporter of Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice having experienced the exceptional care that her husband received there during his final weeks.
In 2018, Clare embarked on an ambitious fundraising journey culminating in the award-winning Work of Heart Garden knitted installation. In addition to raising a significant amount for Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice, the Work of Heart Garden became a global movement, bringing together a community of 'knits' under one banner. Clare won the JustGiving Award for Most Creative Fundraiser of the Year, which she was so proud of.
Sadly, Clare passed away on 27 September 2020 after herself receiving incredible support and care by the wonderful team at Leckhampton Court Hospice.
Clare's ambition was to raise at least £50k for Leckhampton Court Hospice. Her family and friends wish to honour her by completing her mission and continuing her legacy.
